In the Education career, we train teachers in kindergarten and elementary education, equipped to be leaders in innovation and the use of new educational technologies that positively impact the optimal development of children.
Additionally, they are prepared to propose creative and original solutions, combining scientific knowledge with the humanistic training provided by Universidad Católica San Pablo, ready to implement development projects and educational initiatives.
Thanks to the curriculum plan at UCSP, you can work in various fields, such as classroom teacher, director, or promoter of educational institutions, advisor and consultant for educational and cultural projects, or producer of educational texts, in both the public and private sectors.
Additionally, you will be able to create your own management space by implementing independent educational projects, contributing to the development of the academic field through research, or serving as a faculty member in any higher education institution in the area.
The graduate has cultivated their intellect by posing the fundamental questions of human existence and understanding themselves through a Catholic worldview, which enables them to comprehend reality based on the principles of good, truth, beauty, and unity. This worldview underpins their professional actions as an educator and allows them to embrace the dignity of their vocation, contributing to the evangelization of culture in specific times and places, in service to their country and the world, through a practice of professional excellence.
They have a profound understanding of the human person in its entirety (dimensions, relationships, particularity) and recognize the need to achieve their fullness, starting with themselves.
They value the importance of the foundations of education as the basis for understanding curricular, didactic, and educational management aspects, and the relationship with their practical application. They possess solid knowledge of pedagogy, curriculum, didactics, classical and contemporary educational theories, and the content they are required to teach. They understand the different anthropological and epistemological assumptions of these theories and can critically comprehend them—with contributions from the history of education—and eventually transform them to make them more aligned with the integral development of the person.
Their investigative attitude, mastery of language, analytical skills, and responsible use of technology enable them to seek and communicate the truth, integrating knowledge into their teaching.

The work of educators is focused on guiding students to fully embrace the essential elements of being, knowing, and doing within their disciplinary field, while also fostering integration with their personal formation as human beings, crucial in developing well-rounded professionals who can effectively address the challenges in both their personal and professional environments.
This task of the professor aligns with the identity of our university, which aims not only to provide a quality education but also to cultivate individuals in the most complete sense.
