In the Environmental Engineering career, we train engineers in natural and environmental sciences equipped to develop and implement innovative ecological solutions, strategies, and policies for their environment.
Furthermore, through research, entrepreneurship, environmental improvement, and management, our professionals will be capable of addressing environmental issues and conflicts that affect the region while also promoting social development within the community.
The Environmental Engineer from Universidad Católica San Pablo will be able to serve as an agent of change in various sectors and organizations, both in the public and private domains, nationally and globally. Some of the functions and activities they will be able to perform include:
The graduate of the Professional Program in Environmental Engineering, with a specialization in Environmental Management, will be able to manage and sustainably utilize the available natural resources in order to evaluate, design, and develop projects for entrepreneurship, improvement, and environmental management.
The graduate of the Professional Program in Environmental Engineering, with a specialization in Health and Environmental Remediation, will be able to evaluate and monitor the environmental component through research and the application of scientific and technological knowledge in environmental engineering, for the development and implementation of health and environmental remediation solutions and strategies
The expected outcomes for graduates of Environmental Engineering are as follows:
Considering the profile of the graduates of the Environmental Engineering study program, the profile of graduates for each of the specializations offered to students is specified in this manner, which the student will only be able to obtain as long as they complete all the courses of the chosen specialization, as previously indicated.

Me gradué de Ingeniero Electrónico por la UNSA. Tengo una maestría y doctorado en Sistemas Mecatrónicos por la Universidad de Brasilia. He publicado artículos y conferencias en revistas indexadas.
The new biology laboratory at the Universidad Católica San Pablo is equipped with cutting-edge equipment and instruments for the different studies and practices of biological analysis for courses such as Biology, Environmental Microbiology and Biological Treatment of Effluents, which are part of the training of the degree. This laboratory has a modern Biosafety Cabinet to meet the highest standards of quality and safety in this type of studies, as well as other digital equipment such as state-of-the-art microscopes. This laboratory will also be used to carry out research work and projects in the field of environmental engineering.
The university has a modern chemistry laboratory to carry out various studies related to the analysis and chemical study of the main components of the environment (soil, air and water chemistry); and other courses in the degree that require this specialized infrastructure, such as for the development of physical-chemical treatment of effluents, chemical analysis of materials and environmental monitoring of the main chemical pollutants. This laboratory is of utmost importance in this type of specialty, also for its potential in research in the field of environmental engineering.
This new laboratory will have the appropriate infrastructure to carry out practices in the analysis and treatment of the various solid wastes generated in industry and at the urban level; as well as for the development and study of the various treatment processes for polluting effluents that may be produced in industry. This laboratory is very important for the development of research projects in the field of Environmental Engineering.
The current physics laboratory at the university has the appropriate precision instruments and equipment to be able to develop practices in the measurement and analysis of the physical properties of materials for the various environmental studies that will be developed in the degree. This laboratory helps in the practical training of Environmental Engineering students, consolidating their learning during their studies in the degree.
