Desde el año 2015, la Direccion de Relaciones Internacionales y Cooperación de la UCSP ha promovido y participado exitosamente en los siguientes proyectos internacionales:
The project “Internationalisation for Inclusive and Quality Education of Peruvian Universities“, coordinated by Universidad Católica San Pablo (UCSP), aims to strengthen capacities and contribute to the professionalization of academics and managers in the international relations offices of Peruvian universities. It is the first DIES-NMT project in Peru. The Training Committee is made up of four experts from four countries in the region: Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru, with guidance from Universität Potsdam and Leibniz Universität Hannover.
The DIES National Multiplication Trainings (NMT) is a training course under the program Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies (DIES), which seeks to empower DIES alumni in their role as multipliers in higher education management, promoting the sustainability of DIES trainings. This initiative is a joint effort between the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK), funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
Under the European Union’s Erasmus+ program, the I-MAT (Innovative Mobility Attracting Tools for Latin America) project brings together the Universidade de Lisboa (Instituto Superior Técnico) from Portugal as the coordinating partner, AGH University of Science and Technology from Poland, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University from Lithuania, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Universidad de los Andes from Colombia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte and Universidade de Fortaleza from Brazil, and, from Peru, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and Universidad Católica San Pablo.
The main goal of I-MAT is to enhance the capacity of Latin American higher education institutions (in Colombia, Peru, and Brazil) to attract students, academic staff, and administrative personnel to mobility initiatives through digital and innovative approaches.
CCODICIS (Strengthening Capacities for the Recovery and Conservation of Documentary and Bibliographic Heritage in Latin America) is a project within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 Program and aims to train specialists and promoting the exchange of knowledge and best practices from EU Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to Latin American HEIs. By providing access to well-equipped laboratories, professionals working with heritage archives and libraries will acquire the necessary criteria for effective archive and library management.
For the first time, Universidad Católica San Pablo is the coordinator of an Erasmus+ project. The consortium includes: Universitat de Barcelona, Universidad de Catania, Universidad Católica Boliviana , Universidad Mayor de San Andrés , Universidad Panamericana , Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla y la Universidad de Piura.
The Global Intercultural Project Experience (GIPE) is a research and development project, carried out in a hybrid format by students from different professional schools at UCSP in collaboration with students from Westphalian University of Applied Sciences in Germany, Atma Jaya Catholic University in Indonesia, and Namibia University of Science and Technology in Namibia. Each year, students from the four partner institutions work together for a different real client, allowing them to apply their academic knowledge while also developing their soft, linguistic, and cultural skills.

Led by Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) with funding from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Rector’s Conference (HRK), the program DAAD-DIES Management of Internationalisation (MoI), is coordinated by LUH in collaboration with, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (India), Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (Kenya) and Universidad Católica San Pablo (Peru).
The training program for the management of internationalisation in higher education began in September 2020 and concluded in December 2021. The project titled “Estudio sobre la internacionalización en la Universidad Católica San Pablo: Reflexiones, diagnóstico y reporte post-pandemia” (Study on Internationalisation at Universidad Católica San Pablo: Reflections, Diagnosis, and Post-Pandemic Report) was presented by Universidad Católica San Pablo and was chosen among many, being the only one from Peru. Currently, there are 27 participants distributed across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
This program represents an opportunity to continue strengthening internationalization management skills at San Pablo for the benefit of our academic community.

The United States Embassy in Peru, together with the Universidad Católica San Pablo, offers the College Horizons Outreach Program (CHOP+ Arequipa), which will benefit native students from the high Andean region of Peru. The program has a strong component of English as a foreign language instruction, as well as leadership, entrepreneurship, and intercultural workshops. In this way, CHOP+ Arequipa aims for students to consolidate their identity by enhancing their soft skills, mainly linguistic and intercultural, under the mentorship of leaders from their community, to positively impact society. Without a doubt, the program provides tools for participants to access new educational and employment opportunities.

SuCCESS (Strengthening Criminology Teaching through cooperation among European and South-American Universities) is a cooperation project between universities in Europe and Latin America to strengthen teaching and research in criminology.
The project’s objectives are focused on contributing to the development, creation and improvement of the curriculum in criminology in order to promote the quality of teaching and research in the areas of citizen security and criminal justice in the participating universities in Colombia, Peru and Brazil.
On the other hand, it also seeks to establish the progressive establishment of an International Network for Euro-Latin American interuniversity cooperation in criminology for professional training and the management of applied criminological knowledge.

The main objective of the I2LATAM Project (Strengthening Research and Innovation in Young Universities for Regional Development in Latin America), in which 14 universities from 8 countries participate, is to strengthen research and innovation capacities in young Latin American universities by promoting innovative collaboration strategies between the University and key regional socioeconomic actors.
This dynamic is aligned with national and institutional strategies in Latin American universities, specifically with the challenges faced in terms of articulation and the generation of a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union, InnovaT has as partners the FH Joanneum, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Breda University, Universidad de Piura, Universidad de Lima, Universidad de Santiago de Chile, Universidad Viña del Mar, Universidad Austral and Universidad Católica San Pablo.
This project seeks to develop more effective and innovative approaches, fostering new thinking towards new ways of teaching and learning, to have graduates with a more entrepreneurial mindset going to the market, resulting in benefits for the economy and society in general.
At the end of 2015, UCSP, together with Universidad de Sevilla, Incoma, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, FH Joanneum, Universidad de Concepción, Universidad de Piura and Universidad Viña del Mar; won – within the framework of the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union, funds for the implementation of the “Program for Internationalization in the Universities of Chile and Peru (INCHIPE)”; which had as its main objective the strengthening of the management capacities of the 4 universities of Chile and Peru, to increase the internationalization of the institutions.

According to UNESCO, international university cooperation seeks to address new challenges in the era of globalization by promoting the use of new information technologies, which in and of themselves contribute to capacity building and also enhance the knowledge needed to advance education, science and technology, social and human sciences, culture, and communication. Inter-university cooperation promotes intellectual collaboration through “twinning” and network creation among institutions and higher education faculty worldwide, aiming to facilitate the access, transfer, and adaptation of knowledge within countries and across borders.

Red Peruana de Internacionalización de la Educación Superior Universitaria (REDIPERU), in English, Peruvian Network for the Internationalisation of University Higher Education, is an entity that represents public and private universities in Peru before MINEDU (Ministry of Education), government entities and other institutions involved in higher education in the country.
TIt works to strengthen the Peruvian brand of higher education and promote cooperation actions with government agencies to promote an international educational policy at the national level.
Established more than 30 years ago, Columbus is an effective space for university collaboration between Europe and Latin America.
Columbus’ mission is to promote international cooperation and the institutional development of member universities, through the development of strategies, the implementation of policies and the organization of structures.

In 1924, the first efforts were made to unite Catholic universities in a Federation. In 1927, the first yearbook of Catholic universities was published and the designation International Federation of Catholic Universities / Fédération Internationale des Universités Catholiques (IFCU-FIUC) was adopted, dating from 1965.
The Federation’s activities are divided into 4 main lines: research, prospective higher education, social responsibility of universities and continuing education and institutional policy.

The Unión de Universidades de América Latina y el Caribe (in English, Union of Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean) is an organization of universities and higher education institutions in the region, aimed at establishing strong ties of cooperation, within a framework of respect and plurality, with a clear commitment to social involvement.
UDUAL is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, recognized by UNESCO as a regional advisory and consulting body. It is the largest and most consolidated network of Higher Education Institutions in Latin America, with more than 200 affiliated institutions, both public and private, from 22 countries in the region.
