In the Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering program, we train engineers to design, develop, and maintain systems that facilitate information transmission through new technologies.
This program offers two engineering specialties in one. It provides the necessary knowledge for professionals to develop innovative solutions that help overcome distance barriers.
To be recognized locally, nationally, and internationally as a professional program that trains electronics and telecommunications engineers with academic excellence, capable of working in and adapting to multidisciplinary environments, and possessing a solid ethical and moral foundation.
To have research groups recognized for their contributions to their areas of knowledge, related to industry, and involved in the development of inter-institutional projects.
To have a highly specialized faculty that ensures a world-class education for its students.
The professional program is responsible for training electronics and telecommunications engineers who possess a comprehensive education that contributes to regional and national development, and who actively participate in the creation and management of control, automation, telecommunications, and information and communication technology projects.
With a solid foundation in technical-scientific knowledge and the capacity for innovation and leadership, you will be able to contribute in various professional fields and undertake projects with technology that fosters the growth of your city, your country, and the world. You will be able to lead and execute automation and control projects in production companies and the mining industry, plan and implement radio frequency networks (such as point-to-point links) and internet services, and provide services to various entities, such as telecommunications companies, banking, the financial system, public institutions (such as Osiptel, Sunat, etc.), and businesses related to connectivity.
Additionally, you will have the capability to start your own company (startup) to produce technology products or services and innovate them. Furthermore, you will possess the necessary skills to pursue any advanced degree abroad.

This laboratory is dedicated to teaching data networks and communication systems, as well as connectivity aspects in the Internet of Things (IoT). It hosts all courses related to the telematics (networking) and communication technologies track, as well as hands-on practices in IoT network design and connectivity.
We are equipped with switches and routers (Cisco and Mikrotik brands), fiber optic tools (splicer, laser source, power meter, among others), and IoT kits such as gateways, wireless terminals, sensors, and programming modules. The laboratory features infrastructure specifically designed for these practices and is also used by our Cisco Academy to deliver certification programs.
This laboratory is used for practical work in signal courses, where the fundamentals, treatment, and processing of signals are explained. It also hosts all courses related to digital information processing, with appropriate specialized software. Additionally, courses in radiofrequency, electromagnetic fields, microwaves, and communications are taught here.
We are equipped with high-tech instruments, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector network analyzers (VNA), antenna kits, DSP boards, and Emotiv Epoc. We also have simulation software that allows us to complement work done with instruments, such as ANSYS HFSS, ANSYS SI WAVE, Matlab, and ADS (Advanced Design System). Furthermore, research projects and theses are carried out in this laboratory.
This laboratory is used for practical work in courses such as electronics, digital electronics, microprocessors, and computer architecture. It is equipped with the necessary materials to apply and verify the knowledge gained in these courses.
We have basic electronics kits, power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, PICkit programmers, Arduinos, FPGA boards, Electronic Explorer Boards, USRPs (Universal Software Radio Peripheral), Spartan 3E boards, among others. Research projects and theses are also carried out in this laboratory.
In this laboratory, practical exercises for courses in the control and automation field, such as Control Systems and Industrial Electronics, are conducted. It is equipped with PLCs (programmable logic controllers), educational training modules, motors, robotics kits, and drones, among other tools that enhance teaching and learning. Research projects and theses are also developed in this laboratory.
This laboratory was established through the “Equipamiento científico para laboratorios (2015)” initiative (Scientific Equipment for Laboratories (2015)), promoted by the National Innovation Program for Competitiveness and Productivity (PNICP) Innóvate Perú. It features an antenna measurement system in an anechoic chamber for radiofrequency and microwave applications, enhancing research capabilities in the field of radiofrequencies for antenna measurement and characterization. Additionally, it enables the characterization, homologation, and certification of electronic equipment with radioelectric emissions. The SG-64 system is equipped with 64 DP400-6000 probes, which are dual-polarized and cover a frequency range from 400 MHz to 6 GHz.
